Following a tragic shooting at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis that left two children dead and 17 others injured, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz addressed the public in a somber press conference. The Democratic governor expressed sorrow over the heartbreaking loss and emphasized unity, community, and resilience in the face of tragedy.<\/p>\n
Walz praised the school\u2019s mission rooted in Catholic values and lamented how a place meant for learning and service had been overtaken by \u201cevil and horror and death.\u201d He extended heartfelt condolences to the families, acknowledging that \u201cno words\u201d could ease their pain.<\/p>\n
Walz also thanked law enforcement and emergency personnel, including the Minneapolis Police, Hennepin County Sheriff\u2019s Office, Minnesota State Patrol, FBI, and first responders at local hospitals, particularly Hennepin County Medical Center where many of the wounded children received life-saving care.<\/p>\n
