Speaking on Fox News, Manchin said, \u201cPresident Trump is the person who can basically bring us together,\u201d prompting stunned reactions from viewers and the program\u2019s host.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"548\" data-end=\"922\">Manchin, who retired from the Senate earlier this year after serving for 14 years, stressed the urgency of national healing amid rising political violence. \u201cI\u2019m praying he\u2019s able to say, \u2018enough\u2019s enough\u2026 we\u2019re all Americans,\u2019\u201d he said. Known for his centrist and bipartisan approach, Manchin encouraged Trump to lead efforts to calm the political climate and restore unity.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"924\" data-end=\"1291\">The killing of Kirk has widened the country\u2019s political divide. A heated exchange broke out between Reps. Byron Donalds and Rashida Tlaib, while Democrats booed a prayer led by Rep. Anna Paulina Luna. The disruption led Rep. Lauren Boebert to shout across the aisle, \u201cYou caused this!\u201d<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1603\" data-end=\"1843\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez further polarized the moment by denouncing Kirk on the House floor, accusing him of anti-Semitism and bigotry.
