Former President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania, experienced an unexpected moment at the United Nations when an escalator they stepped onto suddenly stopped working. The couple was seen holding onto the handrail as they switched to using the stairs. The brief incident quickly attracted public attention and sparked further discussion when Trump addressed it online.<\/p>\n

The escalator mishap was not the only technical difficulty during Trump’s appearance. Prior to his speech, both the teleprompter and the sound system reportedly failed. These combined issues led Trump to post on Truth Social, describing the situation as a \u201ctriple sabotage,\u201d and referring to it as a \u201cREAL DISGRACE\u201d at the UN.<\/p>\n

In response to the incidents, the White House called for an investigation into the causes, particularly questioning whether the escalator stoppage might have been intentional. Officials stressed that there would be \u201caccountability\u201d if it was found to be more than just a technical glitch.<\/p>\n

The United Nations, however, stated that the escalator issue resulted from a safety mechanism that was inadvertently triggered.
