Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson slammed the Senate leader, stating, \u201cWorkers are missing paychecks&#8230; but to Chuck Schumer that means \u2018every day gets better.\u2019\u201d Jackson urged Democrats to \u201cstop inflicting this pain\u201d and move to immediately reopen the government.<\/p>\n<p>President Donald Trump added to the criticism during a Cabinet meeting, calling Schumer\u2019s comments \u201cdisgusting.\u201d He accused Schumer and other Democrats of holding the government \u201chostage\u201d and claimed the senator was acting out of fear that Rep.
