Last month, President Donald Trump signed an executive order aimed at combating domestic terrorism and political violence. The order directs federal agencies to target left-wing extremist groups and their wealthy backers, whom Trump described as \u201canarchists\u201d funded by affluent individuals. He hinted that he knows some of these financiers but offered no specifics.<\/p>\n
White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller underscored the goal of dismantling left-wing terrorism, including Antifa. The executive order instructs the FBI\u2019s National Joint Terrorism Task Force to investigate and prosecute individuals involved in political violence.<\/p>\n
Following a deadly attack at a Dallas ICE facility, Trump and Vice President J.D. Vance blamed hostile left-wing rhetoric for the rise in violence. Trump specifically named billionaires George Soros and Reid Hoffman as major funders of groups like Antifa. The Justice Department is reportedly preparing criminal investigations into Soros\u2019 Open Society Foundations, marking a significant escalation in the administration\u2019s crackdown on left-wing activism.<\/p>\n
