A U.S. State Department foreign service officer, Daniel Choi, has been fired after being caught on hidden camera admitting to a secret romantic relationship with the daughter of a Chinese Communist Party (CCP) affiliate\u2014an undisclosed connection that violated national security protocols.<\/p>\n

The footage, released by O\u2019Keefe Media Group, showed Choi admitting that his girlfriend\u2019s father was \u201cstraight-up Communist Party\u201d and that she \u201ccould have been a spy.\u201d Choi further confessed, \u201cI defied my government for love,\u201d despite knowing he was required to report the relationship under department rules.<\/p>\n

Secretary of State Marco Rubio, with President Donald Trump\u2019s approval, ordered Choi\u2019s termination following an internal investigation.
