Dick Durbin, who recently announced his retirement, leave young people feeling unrepresented. A recent Harvard poll showed only 23% of young voters approve of congressional Democrats, down from 42% in 2017. Meanwhile, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is gaining traction, with a new poll showing her leading Sen. Chuck Schumer in a potential 2028 primary matchup.
