LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) is expected to face assault charges after an altercation with ICE agents outside Delaney Hall detention center in Newark, according to the New Jersey Globe.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"339\">\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"339\">\n<p data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"339\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"0\" data-end=\"339\">The incident occurred on May 9, when McIver, Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, and other Democratic lawmakers attempted to inspect the facility.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"341\" data-end=\"561\">McIver allegedly placed her hands on ICE officers during a scuffle, while Baraka was arrested for refusing to leave. Republicans accused McIver of \u201cbody slamming\u201d an officer, which her colleagues deny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"563\" data-end=\"705\">Gov.
