Laurel Libby after she was censured for a Facebook post criticizing a transgender athlete\u2019s participation in a girls\u2019 sports competition.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"59\" data-end=\"273\">\n<p data-start=\"59\" data-end=\"273\">\n<p data-start=\"59\" data-end=\"273\">\n<p data-start=\"275\" data-end=\"487\">Libby had refused to apologize, as required by Maine House rules, prompting her suspension. The Court\u2019s majority, including Justice Elena Kagan, ruled in her favor, while Justices Sotomayor and Jackson dissented.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"489\" data-end=\"638\">Libby celebrated the decision as a win for free speech and representation.
