Musk recently deleted a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter) in which he accused Trump of being linked to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in custody in 2019. The post claimed Trump was named in the unreleased Epstein files, a claim widely criticized as unfounded.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"452\" data-end=\"793\">Following the backlash, including denials from key figures, Musk removed the post. Attorney David Schoen, who was representing Epstein shortly before his death, refuted Musk\u2019s claim, stating that Epstein told him directly there was nothing damaging about Trump. Schoen emphasized this point in a public post, calling the accusation baseless.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"795\" data-end=\"1050\">Michael Cohen, Trump\u2019s former personal attorney, also discredited the claim. Attorney General Pam Bondi reported that the FBI is currently reviewing tens of thousands of videos linked to Epstein, contributing to the delay in releasing full case files. Epstein\u2019s influence spanned various powerful sectors, and many await clarity on the scope of his crimes.
