‘This Is My Calling’: Jeanine Pirro Recounts Path to U.S. Attorney’s Office

In a recent interview on “My View With Lara Trump,” former Fox News host and current U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro discussed her decision to leave television and return to law enforcement. Speaking passionately, Pirro explained that her commitment to justice and crime-fighting has been a lifelong calling, particularly for victims who often go unheard.

Pirro emphasized her career-long focus on advocating for women, children, the elderly, and minority communities who suffer the consequences of crime. She described crime’s ripple effect, illustrating how one criminal act can devastate not only the victim but the entire community. Her return to law was framed as a personal mission rooted in compassion and justice.

Despite having a successful television career, Pirro expressed that returning to her roots in criminal justice gives her life purpose. At a stage when many consider retirement, she feels driven by a renewed sense of challenge and meaning. For her, making a lasting impact through public service outweighs the comforts of media fame.

Lara Trump also asked about Pirro’s experience working closely with President Donald Trump in Washington. Pirro responded enthusiastically, noting Trump’s relentless energy and motivation. She praised his leadership and commitment to American values such as safety and the American dream, asserting her pride in working with him.

Pirro has also made headlines for her tough stance on crime, recently responding to a viral incident involving a man who threw a sandwich at a U.S. border agent. The suspect, now facing felony assault charges, was swiftly arrested by the FBI. The video of the incident was widely shared by FBI Director Kash Patel.

In a firm video statement, Pirro mocked the suspect and reaffirmed her commitment to law enforcement. She vowed to stand firmly behind the police, reinforcing her no-nonsense approach to justice.
