A legacy of health: Soong Mei-ling – longevity and fight against cancer

Soong Mei-ling, also known as Madame Chiang, was a key political figure in 20th-century China, influencing both domestic and international affairs.

As the wife of Nationalist president Chiang Kai-shek, she played a crucial role in diplomacy while also maintaining a privileged life due to her wealthy upbringing.

Diagnosed with cancer at 40, she defied the odds and lived to 106, attracting attention for her disciplined lifestyle and adherence to Traditional Chinese Medicine. She maintained a strict sleep schedule, engaged in creative activities, and followed a diet rich in fruits and vegetables, including celery and spinach, known for their health benefits.

Her habit of eating small, frequent meals and stopping at 70% fullness inspired many, especially those interested in weight management and longevity.
