‘YOU Caused This’: Obama Slammed For His Statement On Charlie Kirk

Former President Barack Obama responded to the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, founder of Turning Point USA, with a statement urging calm and condemning violence. While offering condolences to Kirk’s family, Obama stated that the motive behind the shooting remains unclear. His tone, however, sparked backlash from conservative circles, with critics accusing him of minimizing the gravity of the incident.

Conservative commentator Clay Travis sharply criticized Obama on Fox News, claiming that years of left-wing rhetoric labeling Trump and his supporters as fascists contributed to the attack. Travis argued that equating conservatives with Nazis incites violence from unstable individuals. He emotionally blamed prominent figures like Obama for fostering a hostile environment that leads to tragedies like Kirk’s death.

Travis asserted that the political left consistently demonizes conservative voices, which, in his view, emboldens violent acts. He claimed that the narrative portraying Trump supporters as threats to democracy has deadly consequences. Kirk, he said, became the latest victim of this rhetoric, emphasizing that the time has come to confront the dangerous implications of such divisive language.

When asked about whether political rhetoric played a role in the killing, Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren dismissed the suggestion. Her abrupt response—“Oh, please”—implied she believed the accusation was misplaced and instead deflected blame toward the broader political climate, including the current administration.

The FBI and Utah state authorities have launched a full investigation into the shooting, which occurred during Kirk’s speech at Utah Valley University. The suspect reportedly fired from a rooftop, wearing dark clothing, and has not yet been identified. Authorities are urging the public to provide any information.

Former President Trump also condemned the violence, accusing radical left-wing rhetoric of fueling political terrorism. He called for an end to dehumanizing language and urged Americans to unite against political violence, regardless of ideology.
