Boxing Heavyweight Champion Dies At 76

George Foreman, the two-time heavyweight boxing champion, Olympic gold medalist, preacher, and businessman, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025, at 76.

His family shared the news on his official Instagram, expressing their heartbreak. Foreman, known for his faith, humility, and purpose, was a beloved father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Born in Marshall, Texas, on January 10, 1949, Foreman overcame a troubled youth, including dropping out of school and engaging in street crimes. At 16, he joined the Job Corps, where boxing helped him channel his anger. Foreman went on to win Olympic gold in 1968, marking the beginning of his remarkable career.

He became a respected figure in boxing and beyond, known for his discipline, conviction, and dedication to his family’s legacy. His family requests privacy as they mourn his loss.
