Public Memorial For Charlie Kirk Scheduled In Arizona

A public memorial for conservative activist Charlie Kirk is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 21, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, according to a statement from Turning Point USA. The event will begin at 11 a.m., with doors opening at 8 a.m. The stadium, home to the Arizona Cardinals, will be available as the team plays on the road that day.

Memorials have been held across the country in Kirk’s honor, including candlelight vigils, prayer circles, and tributes. Outside Turning Point USA headquarters in Phoenix, mourners gathered around memorials, one of which featured a photo of Kirk and the words, “May Charlie be received into the merciful arms of Jesus.” President Trump ordered flags at half-staff in his memory.

Charlie Kirk’s casket was flown to Phoenix aboard Air Force Two, accompanied by Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance. A military honor guard and solemn tributes from air traffic control marked the return. Upon arrival, Vice President Vance personally assisted in carrying the casket, underscoring the administration’s respect for Kirk.

Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, shared a video showing family memories and footage of the casket being loaded onto the plane. She spoke about his faith, saying, “Two days ago, my husband went to see the face of his Savior.” She called Kirk a martyr and thanked Vice President Vance, his wife, and President Trump for their support.

Meanwhile, Hunter Kozak, the student who had been debating Kirk moments before the assassination, publicly addressed the tragedy. In a heartfelt post, Kozak condemned the violence and mourned the loss of a father and husband. He expressed sorrow for Kirk’s young children, one of whom will grow up without memories of their father.

Kozak, despite political differences, emphasized that Kirk valued open dialogue. “He is still a human being,” he said, urging both sides to remain peaceful and committed to conversation rather than violence.
