Newborn baby crawls across the hospital cot

Three weeks past her due date, baby Nyilah Daise Tzabari entered the world on February 27, 2023, with a burst of energy and determination. At just two and a half days old, Nyilah shocked hospital staff by lifting her head and attempting to crawl in her cot — an act of strength rarely seen in newborns.

Her mom, Samantha Mitchell of White Oak, Pennsylvania, caught the moment on video, capturing the disbelief in her own voice and that of her mother. Having worked with children for over two decades, Samantha was floored. “I’ve never seen anything like this,” she said. The footage quickly went viral, leaving millions of viewers just as amazed.

Nyilah’s development continued to defy expectations. She began rolling from belly to back at just 18 days old, smiling at one month, rolling back to belly at two months, and throwing playful punches and trying to stand by three months. Samantha shared, “She refuses to bend her knees when we hold her. She’s strong and doesn’t even need head support anymore.”

TikTok users responded with awe and humor, racking up over 57 million views. Commenters joked that Nyilah was ready for adulthood already, with remarks like, “These new babies are built different,” and “I’d move out and let HER raise me.”

But Nyilah’s gifts aren’t just physical. By seven weeks, she was mimicking her parents’ speech and reacting socially, laughing and engaging with joy and curiosity. Samantha described her as incredibly alert, always responding to smiles and sounds with enthusiasm.

With parents Samantha and Ofer Tzabari by her side, Nyilah is already proving to be a remarkable child. Her story is inspiring families everywhere and rewriting expectations for infant development. Whatever comes next, it’s clear this little girl has a bright, exciting future ahead.
