Trump Withdraws Surgeon General Nomination, Announces New Pick

President Donald Trump has withdrawn the nomination of Dr. Janette Nesheiwat for U.S. Surgeon General and named Dr. Casey Means as her replacement.

Nesheiwat’s withdrawal followed scrutiny of her credentials, including a misleading LinkedIn listing of her medical degree.

Though she completed her residency at the University of Arkansas, her M.D. is from the American University of the Caribbean. Dr. Means, backed by Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is expected to align with Trump’s “Make America Healthy Again” vision.

Despite recent controversies, Trump’s approval rating has surged to 53%, with notable gains among young voters, Democrats, and Black voters. Business leaders also praised his economic focus, with many projecting national growth.
