Rosie O’Donnell has officially moved out of the United States

Rosie O’Donnell Moves to Ireland Over U.S. Politics

Rosie O’Donnell revealed in a TikTok video that she relocated to Ireland with her 12-year-old daughter, Dakota, on January 15. The 62-year-old comedian cited concerns over the U.S. political climate, particularly under Donald Trump, as her reason for leaving.

Now living in Dublin and seeking Irish citizenship through her grandparents’ heritage, O’Donnell said the move has been “wonderful,” praising the Irish people as kind and welcoming. While she misses her other children and friends, she feels the move was best for her family.

She ended her message with a hope for unity and justice in the U.S., saying she’ll consider returning “when it is safe for all citizens to have equal rights.”
