Some speculate that the escalating public clash between former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk may be a calculated strategy, rather than a genuine feud. Theories online suggest it could be aimed at pressuring the release of the full Jeffrey Epstein files, which reportedly contain names of high-profile individuals across political lines.
According to Axios, House Democrats are now pressing the Department of Justice and FBI to confirm whether Trump’s name is included in the Epstein documents, as Musk has claimed. Musk recently wrote on X that Trump is in the Epstein files and that this is why they have not been made public—statements that fueled political speculation and outrage.
Democratic Reps. Stephen Lynch and Robert Garcia sent a letter demanding clarification on Trump’s alleged involvement, a timeline for releasing the documents, and reasons for previous heavy redactions. They emphasized concerns about the President possibly influencing which files are withheld or declassified.
The White House responded sharply, dismissing the letter as a political stunt and accusing Democrats of hypocrisy for ignoring oversight during the Biden administration. Meanwhile, Republican Rep. Anna Paulina Luna criticized former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi for “stonewalling” further document releases, despite a heavily redacted batch being published in February.
Further fueling conspiracy theories, FBI Deputy Director Dan Bongino pledged to release footage from Epstein’s jail cell to prove no foul play occurred. Epstein’s 2019 death, officially ruled a suicide, continues to stir widespread suspicion due to his links with wealthy elites and powerful figures.
