Musk Deletes X Post Accusing Trump Of Being In ‘Epstein Files’

Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, Tesla, and Starlink, appears to be attempting to mend his relationship with former President Donald Trump after a recent public dispute. Musk recently deleted a controversial post on X (formerly Twitter) in which he accused Trump of being linked to Jeffrey Epstein, the disgraced financier who died in custody in 2019. The post claimed Trump was named in the unreleased Epstein files, a claim widely criticized as unfounded.

Following the backlash, including denials from key figures, Musk removed the post. Attorney David Schoen, who was representing Epstein shortly before his death, refuted Musk’s claim, stating that Epstein told him directly there was nothing damaging about Trump. Schoen emphasized this point in a public post, calling the accusation baseless.

Michael Cohen, Trump’s former personal attorney, also discredited the claim. Speaking to MSNBC, Cohen asserted that based on his extensive experience working closely with Trump, there was no connection between Trump and Epstein of the kind Musk suggested.

Meanwhile, broader questions remain about the Epstein investigation. Attorney General Pam Bondi reported that the FBI is currently reviewing tens of thousands of videos linked to Epstein, contributing to the delay in releasing full case files. Epstein’s influence spanned various powerful sectors, and many await clarity on the scope of his crimes. Representative James Comer expressed concern that key records might be withheld or destroyed, emphasizing the need for transparency as Trump has promised to release the remaining files if given the opportunity.
