Patel Says FBI’s Comey ‘Concealed’ Probe Into Hillary Clinton

FBI Director Kash Patel recently claimed the bureau concealed investigations related to Hillary Clinton during her 2016 presidential campaign. In an interview with Fox News’ Maria Bartiromo, Patel emphasized the need for transparency to restore public trust in the FBI. He accused former FBI Director James Comey of overstepping his authority by deciding not to prosecute Clinton over her use of a private email server, a decision Patel believes should have been made by the Department of Justice.  Patel asserted that the Clinton email scandal was mishandled and that Comey distorted investigative findings. He also linked Clinton to the alleged orchestration of the Trump-Russia collusion narrative, which he referred to as a hoax designed to distract from her own controversies. During the 2016 campaign, Comey publicly announced that no reasonable prosecutor would charge Clinton, but reopened the investigation days before the election—a move Clinton later blamed for her loss.

Deputy Director Dan Bongino supported Patel’s claims, revealing that documents from Comey’s tenure were recently discovered in a previously inaccessible room. According to Bongino, these materials had bypassed standard procedures and were not entered into FBI records. He stressed the challenges of declassifying such information due to involvement from multiple intelligence agencies.

Bongino also criticized Comey’s alleged attempt to send coded messages via social media, citing a controversial Instagram post. While no specifics were disclosed about the newly uncovered materials, Bongino promised that their eventual release would be shocking and further reveal misconduct during Comey’s leadership at the FBI.
