Fears of a serial killer have intensified in Austin, Texas, following the discovery of 38 bodies in and around Lady Bird Lake over the past three years. While authorities maintain there is no evidence of a mass murderer, the clustering of cases—most involving men between the ages of 30 and 49—has fueled public speculation. Two cases have been officially ruled suicides, while many others remain under investigation, with causes of death ranging from drowning to drug overdoses, natural causes, and undetermined circumstances.
