“Can’t even tie his own shoes”: Mary Trump rips into uncle Donald as ‘cognitive decline’ fears grow

Mary Trump, psychologist and niece of former President Donald Trump, is once again making headlines for her scathing critique of her uncle’s behavior and mental fitness. In a recent episode of her YouTube series Trump Trolls Trump, she describes his current presidency as a “reign of idiocy,” warning that his mental decline appears to be accelerating and increasingly dangerous.

Citing a segment from MSNBC’s The Weekend: Primetime, the discussion raises concerns that Donald Trump may be haunted by the fear of cognitive decline, similar to what his father, Fred Trump Sr., experienced due to Alzheimer’s disease. Mary, who authored Too Much and Never Enough, claims her uncle shows signs of mental deterioration and emotional instability—issues she’s long warned about.

She harshly mocked Trump’s recent public appearances, including his visit to a Florida immigration facility where he gave a rambling, off-topic response when asked a simple question. Mary characterized the moment as another example of his mental confusion and called out his inability to provide straightforward answers. “He has the attention span of a toddler,” she added.

Mary also blasted Trump’s latest grift—a $249 luxury perfume called “Victory,” sold on Truth Social. She found the product not only absurd but deeply unethical, saying it’s grotesque for a sitting president to personally profit off his position.

With biting humor and clinical insight, Mary Trump continues to position herself as one of her uncle’s fiercest critics. Her commentary suggests growing alarm over his capacity to lead, combined with frustration at the public’s continued tolerance of his behavior.
