Megyn Kelly has sharply criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. On her show, Kelly argued that Bondi’s credibility within the Trump circle is crumbling and predicted that her “days are numbered” in the administration due to the confusion surrounding the so-called “client list.”
Bondi initially claimed in February that Epstein’s client list was “sitting on her desk,” but this week she reversed course, stating no such list existed and the case was closed. Kelly argued this embarrassed MAGA influencers who believed they held explosive binders and said Bondi either misled them or didn’t bother to verify the content herself.
Kelly mocked Bondi’s attempt to shift blame onto the FBI for allegedly withholding documents. She pointed out that Bondi promised further releases—first hinting at revealing tens of thousands of child-pornography items—but nothing materialized. Kelly concluded that this wasn’t a conspiracy, just “government incompetence,” leaving even conservative commentators bewildered by Bondi’s contradictory statements.
Kelly also noted Bondi’s growing vulnerability, saying she’s “in the crosshairs” on conservative Twitter, where frustration and doubt are spreading about her competence and transparency.
At a recent Cabinet meeting, Bondi addressed a journalist’s question about a missing minute from Epstein’s jailhouse video, clarifying she had spoken of files like JFK’s earlier. She maintained the released video wasn’t conclusive but said existing evidence still supported that Epstein died by suicide, reiterating DOJ’s stance amidst public scrutiny.
