Megyn Kelly is openly criticizing prominent MAGA media figures like Laura Ingraham and Charlie Kirk for backing away from the Jeffrey Epstein story now that it appears uncomfortable for Donald Trump. On her podcast, Kelly expressed dismay at Ingraham’s sudden silence, pointing out that she had previously been vocal about Epstein. Kelly accused Ingraham and others of abandoning the issue on orders from the White House, suggesting political loyalty is overriding journalistic integrity.
Kelly also called out Turning Point USA’s Charlie Kirk for saying he was “moving on” from the Epstein case “for the time being.” She played a clip of his remarks during her show and reminded listeners that many MAGA supporters still care deeply about the case. Her stance drew loud support from the crowd at a recent Turning Point USA event. She also criticized Attorney General Pam Bondi’s handling of the case, calling it incompetent.
While Kirk claimed his comments were taken out of context and promised he would still address Epstein in the future, Kelly remained firm, insisting that journalists must continue asking questions regardless of which political figure is in power. She warned against blind trust in any administration and emphasized the need for skepticism and accountability.
Fox News largely mirrored Trump’s stance, avoiding discussion of Epstein on-air. However, Bret Baier did address public frustration with the president’s attempts to move on. He acknowledged the issue’s ongoing relevance and reported the Justice Department is still reviewing Epstein-related documents.
The case continues to divide Trump’s base, some of whom demand transparency and accountability.
