CIA Director John Ratcliffe warned that significant consequences may still await Hillary Clinton, former FBI Director James Comey, and others accused of pushing the discredited Trump-Russia collusion narrative during the 2016 election. Speaking on Fox News, Ratcliffe revealed he has submitted new criminal referrals, adding to those previously made by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, including one involving former President Barack Obama.
Ratcliffe emphasized that these referrals aim to hold accountable those who may have lied under oath and perpetuated what he calls a “hoax” against the American people. He pledged to continue sharing intelligence to support the Department of Justice in pursuing fair prosecutions.
These developments follow newly uncovered documents linked to the “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation into Trump-Russia collusion claims. A task force of senior U.S. intelligence officials is reportedly considering possible charges against Clinton, Comey, former CIA Director John Brennan, and former DNI James Clapper.
The newly surfaced documents were found in a classified annex discovered last month and allegedly indicate that Clinton personally authorized efforts to connect Trump to Russia, despite lacking conclusive evidence. According to the annex, Special Counsel John Durham determined that Russian hackers breached email servers belonging to the Open Society Foundations, tied to George Soros, which also factored into the Trump-Russia narrative.
One 2016 email from Leonard Benardo, then the foundation’s Eurasia regional director, allegedly reveals Clinton’s approval for promoting these claims against Trump.
