President Donald Trump declared on Truth Social that “The Invasion of our Country is OVER,” citing a dramatic drop in illegal border crossings. In his first full month back in office, U.S.

 

Customs and Border Protection reported just 8,326 apprehensions at the southern border—a historic low. Trump emphasized that all were either ejected or prosecuted, crediting his aggressive border policies.

He contrasted this with the Biden administration’s peak of 301,981 encounters in December 2023, claiming a 96% decrease. His announcement signals a major shift in border security enforcement.
