Bill Clinton’s Health Raises New Questions After Defibrillator Sighting in Hamptons
Former President Bill Clinton is facing renewed concerns about his health after he and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton were photographed in the Hamptons with a portable defibrillator. The sighting comes just two months after the 79-year-old was seen stumbling on a New York City sidewalk, fueling speculation about his physical condition.
Photos taken Thursday show the Clintons boarding a private plane with what appeared to be a Propaq MD Air Medical Bag, a device used to monitor heart activity and deliver emergency defibrillation if needed. Clinton, dressed in a blue jacket and tan hat, was accompanied by security, while Hillary wore a black sweatshirt over a blue outfit. The equipment’s presence raised eyebrows given Clinton’s long-standing health history.
Clinton has faced serious medical issues for over 20 years. In 2004, he underwent a quadruple bypass to treat near-complete arterial blockages. A year later, he was hospitalized again for surgery to repair a collapsed lung. In 2010, he had two stents inserted to address another clogged artery. He later adopted a vegan diet, lost weight, and publicly credited these changes with improving his health.
Despite lifestyle adjustments, health concerns have continued. In 2021, Clinton was hospitalized for sepsis caused by a urological infection. Most recently, he was treated on Christmas Eve 2023 for a high fever. While there’s ongoing speculation about neurological issues, no official diagnosis has been confirmed.
Separately, the Clintons are scheduled to testify before the House Oversight Committee this fall regarding the government’s handling of Jeffrey Epstein. Though both deny wrongdoing, their appearances will keep them in the public eye amid renewed scrutiny.
