Money isn’t the most important thing.

Darren, a man with less money than his wife’s wealthy family, shared his frustration about the financial disparity that caused tension in his marriage.

His wife’s family paid for their wedding, but during their honeymoon flight, she flew in first class while he was in economy. When he confronted her, she shrugged, saying her dad wasn’t his “ATM.”

Angry, Darren left the plane, and soon received a call from his father-in-law, who scolded him for not appreciating the luxury wedding and honeymoon he had provided. He also warned Darren that he wouldn’t support him financially. This only made Darren angrier, leading him to refuse a later flight and stay home instead of joining his wife on their honeymoon.

Darren sought advice, questioning whether his reaction was wrong.
