Erika Kirk Vows to Continue Husband’s Legacy After Assassination
Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, has spoken publicly for the first time since her husband’s assassination at Utah Valley University. In a video message recorded from his podcast studio in Phoenix, Erika delivered an emotional and defiant vow to carry forward the mission he started.
She opened by thanking those who stood by her family in the aftermath of the tragedy — former President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance and his wife Usha, medical first responders, and law enforcement. She notably avoided mentioning the suspect, Tyler Robinson, by name, choosing instead to focus on the “evildoers” behind the attack on her husband.
“They have no idea what they have done,” she said in a steady but impassioned voice. “They killed Charlie because he preached patriotism, faith, and God’s merciful love… If you thought his mission was powerful before, you have no idea what you’ve just unleashed across this country and the world.”
Erika’s address was marked by a mixture of grief and resolve. She described herself as a “widow with a battle cry,” promising that Charlie’s legacy would not be forgotten or silenced. “The movement my husband built will not die. I will make sure of it,” she declared. Her words quickly went viral, seen as both a tribute and a call to action.
Charlie Kirk, 31, was shot and killed by a sniper-style attack while speaking on campus. Robinson, 22, has been arrested and is expected to face aggravated murder charges. Erika, 36, is a former Miss Arizona USA and Christian podcast host. The couple had two young children.
