Gavin Adcock Leads Crowd in Chant Honoring Charlie Kirk After Assassination
Country music star Gavin Adcock paid tribute to slain conservative activist Charlie Kirk during a recent concert, leading a packed crowd in an emotional chant. Kirk, the founder of Turning Point USA, was assassinated on Wednesday during an event at Utah Valley University.
In videos posted online, a shirtless Adcock held up an American flag and shouted “Charlie Kirk! Charlie Kirk!” prompting the crowd to join in unison. The moment quickly turned solemn as Adcock addressed the crowd: “Jesus loves every single one of you in this place tonight. Charlie Kirk’s with Jesus. I want y’all to say some thoughts and prayers tonight… say some prayers for someone who needs it.”
Kirk, 31, was fatally shot by a sniper-style attack using a Mauser 30-06 bolt-action rifle. The suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, is in custody and is expected to face multiple charges, including aggravated murder.
The killing has reignited tensions over political violence. Republican leaders have pointed to rising threats against conservative figures, noting previous attempts on former President Trump’s life. In contrast, some Democrats, including Rep. Jasmine Crockett, have continued using incendiary rhetoric. Crockett recently defended comparing Trump and Kirk to Hitler on national radio just two days after Kirk’s death.
Meanwhile, Robinson has reportedly stopped cooperating with law enforcement and retained legal counsel. He remains in Utah County Jail without bail. Kirk’s death has sent shockwaves through the conservative movement, with tributes pouring in from public figures and supporters nationwide.
