Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has shared intimate and emotional images following her husband’s assassination on September 10 at Utah Valley University. The 31-year-old activist was fatally shot while speaking at an event, leaving behind Erika and their two young children, a one-year-old son and three-year-old daughter.
Two days after the shooting, the FBI arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the alleged suspect. In the midst of grief, Erika went live on her husband’s podcast on September 12, thanking first responders, Kirk’s team, and former President Donald Trump for their support.
On Instagram, Erika posted a series of emotional photos and videos, including moments beside Charlie’s open casket where she bowed her head and kissed his hands, whispering “I love you” through tears. Other footage showed the casket being wheeled to a hearse, an American flag waving as the coffin was transported, and Erika breaking down before boarding Air Force Two for the flight back to Phoenix.
She was accompanied by Vice President JD Vance and Second Lady Usha Vance, leaning on Ms. Vance as military personnel paid their respects.
Drawing strength from her Evangelical faith, Erika wrote in her caption: “The world is evil. But our Savior… He is so good.” She vowed to continue her husband’s mission, insisting his work and memory will never be forgotten. “You will never forget my husband,” she declared, ending with a heartfelt biblical tribute: “Well done my good and faithful servant.”
