Erika Kirk, widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, shared a defiant message vowing to continue her late husband’s mission following his assassination on September 10. Charlie Kirk, 31, was fatally shot while speaking at Utah Valley University. The shooting shocked the nation, with authorities arresting 22-year-old Tyler Robinson as the alleged suspect two days later.
In a powerful video message, Erika addressed the shooter as an “evildoer,” declaring that her husband was killed because he preached patriotism, faith, and God’s merciful love. She warned that the fire ignited within her as a widow would echo across the country and the world like a battle cry, promising that the mission Charlie began would grow even stronger.
Erika referenced one of Kirk’s mottos, “never surrender,” pledging to continue his campus tour and political activism. Speaking from his Turning Point USA office, she praised law enforcement, first responders, and political allies including former President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance, highlighting the strong support Kirk had during his life.
She also shared emotional moments about explaining Kirk’s death to their three-year-old daughter, whom she affectionately calls GG. Erika recounted telling her daughter that her father was “on a work trip with Jesus,” using faith to comfort her family during this painful time.
In a heartfelt Instagram post, Erika expressed her unwavering faith and vowed that Charlie Kirk’s legacy will never be forgotten. She concluded with a biblical tribute, honoring her husband as a “good and faithful servant.”
