Robinson’s Online Life, Relationship, and Mental Health Under Scrutiny
Tyler Robinson, the 22-year-old accused of assassinating conservative activist Charlie Kirk, is facing renewed scrutiny over his online activity and personal life. Investigators have discovered Robinson had an online fascination with the “furry” subculture and lived with a transgender partner, Lance Twiggs, who expressed support for President Biden and joked about mental health on social media.
Twiggs, also 22, is a transgender woman and aspiring gamer. In a 2022 Reddit post on a satirical subreddit, Twiggs wrote, “We are riding with Biden,” alongside sarcastic political commentary. She also shared that she was receiving targeted ads for schizophrenia and borderline personality disorder, hinting at ongoing mental health issues. Though most of her posts were not political, they frequently referenced her gender transition and rejection of her conservative Christian upbringing.
Friends of Robinson revealed that he used a FurAffinity.net profile matching his known usernames, suggesting a deeper involvement in the furry community — often associated with sexually explicit content. These revelations were first reported by the Daily Mail, adding to the growing picture of Robinson’s complex and troubled personal life.
Law enforcement officials told Axios that Twiggs has been “extremely cooperative” with the investigation, though she remains a person of interest. Authorities are now probing whether Twiggs had any prior knowledge of Robinson’s intentions or behavior before the shooting took place.
Robinson remains under “special watch” in the Utah County jail pending a full mental health evaluation. He was arrested after a 33-hour manhunt and is being closely monitored for behavioral risks. So far, authorities report no suicidal statements, but his housing status will be reassessed in the coming days based on the results of ongoing evaluations.
