Relative Of Kirk Suspect’s Roommate Claims He ‘Hates Conservatives And Christians’

A new report reveals more detail in the case surrounding the assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, pointing to a possible political motive and radical influence. Prosecutors say the suspect, 22-year-old Tyler Robinson, was in a romantic relationship with Lance Twiggs, a transgender individual who, according to a family member, “hates conservatives and Christians.” The relative told Fox News that Twiggs had become “radicalized” and likely influenced Robinson’s political views during their year-long relationship.

Shortly after the Sept. 10 killing at Utah Valley University, Robinson allegedly confessed in a series of text messages to Twiggs. He instructed Twiggs to look under his keyboard, where a note read: “I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I’m going to take it.” Prosecutors say Robinson had been planning the assassination for at least a week and later admitted to stashing the scoped .30-06 hunting rifle used in the shooting.

Although Twiggs maintains he had no prior knowledge of the plan and has been “extremely cooperative,” prosecutors allege that he knew about Robinson’s involvement more than 24 hours before his arrest. Despite this, Twiggs has not been charged with any crime and continues to assist investigators.

Prosecutors further assert that Robinson had embraced “leftist ideology” and had been radicalized through online sources. His texts reportedly reflected a deep resentment toward Kirk and his political beliefs, suggesting a clear ideological motive behind the assassination.

Robinson now faces seven felony charges, including aggravated murder. Prosecutors have announced they will seek the death penalty, which under Utah law could be carried out by firing squad. Governor Spencer Cox has pledged swift justice, calling the killing a politically driven act of extremist violence.
