The boyfriend of Tyler Robinson, the man accused of fatally shooting conservative activist Charlie Kirk, has reportedly disappeared from public view following the incident. Lance Twiggs, 22, who shared a St. George, Utah condominium with Robinson, has not returned to the property since being questioned by police. His car remains parked outside, with work tools inside and mail piling up, suggesting he left in a hurry.
The condo, owned by Twiggs’s family, remains under scrutiny. Neighbors claim Twiggs, a part-time plumber who was transitioning from male to female, has likely gone into hiding or entered witness protection. One neighbor warned, “If he ever comes back, it will be in a body bag,” reflecting the intense anger surrounding Kirk’s death.
Authorities have not charged Twiggs in the Sept. 10 shooting at Utah Valley University, but FBI sources describe Twiggs as a “significant and essential witness.” Text messages released by prosecutors suggest Twiggs may have been unaware of Robinson’s plans, though one message referencing engraved bullets hints at possible prior knowledge.
Twiggs was seen being calmly escorted from the residence after Robinson’s arrest. No explosives were found, but FBI agents conducted a full search of the home. Twiggs’s parents, prominent local residents, have not commented publicly on the situation or their child’s whereabouts.
Kirk, 31, a high-profile conservative and Trump ally, was killed during a campus debate. The case has shocked the conservative community and raised questions about the motivations behind the attack. Robinson faces the death penalty if convicted.
