Schiff Considering Rejecting Biden Pardon For J6 Committee Amid Blowback

California Democratic Sen. Adam Schiff is considering rejecting a pardon issued by President Joe Biden for those involved in the January 6 investigation, including himself.

In an interview on NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Schiff expressed concerns over potential “blowback” from accepting a pardon, citing his previous criticism of accepting pardons as an “admission of guilt” during President Trump’s tenure.

Schiff acknowledged the unprecedented nature of Biden’s pardon and stated that the committee would discuss their options collectively. He also noted that the legality of rejecting the pardon remains unclear.

Biden’s pardons were granted to protect individuals from potential retaliation by the incoming Trump administration, but legal experts have pointed out that they would not exempt recipients from testifying under oath in future proceedings.
