A federal judge’s ruling blocking President Trump’s deportation order targeting Venezuelan gang members has sparked conservative outrage.
U.S. District Judge James Boasberg issued a temporary restraining order halting Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act to deport suspected gang members designated as a terrorist organization. Legal experts, including Fox News analyst Greg Jarrett, argue that Boasberg’s decision disregards Supreme Court precedent. The Court previously ruled that the Alien Enemies Act is constitutional and not subject to judicial review when invoked by the president. Jarrett emphasized that the president has exclusive power over national security and foreign policy, and lower courts must follow Supreme Court rulings. He criticized Boasberg for ignoring this precedent, asserting that Trump’s actions align with the law’s intent to protect citizens from threats posed by foreign enemies.
