Trump claims ‘loophole’ could allow him to run for a third term in bizarre interview as he says ‘a lot of people’ want him to

Donald Trump has again suggested the possibility of running for a third term as U.S. president, despite the 22nd Amendment limiting presidents to two terms.

Although he had previously joked about it, Trump now indicates he is serious, mentioning potential methods to extend his presidency.

One idea involves Vice President JD Vance running for office and then passing the presidency to Trump. Additionally, Trump pointed to a proposed bill by Representative Andy Ogles, which seeks to amend the 22nd Amendment to allow presidents to serve up to three terms. However, the bill would not apply to former presidents like Barack Obama or Bill Clinton.

While exploring these options, Trump emphasized that it’s too early to seriously consider the matter, as he is currently focused on the present administration.
