The threat of World War III is growing as geopolitical tensions intensify.

Leaders like Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin are discussing the possibility of an all-out conflict, while fears rise about a “shadow war” with Russia. The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) has highlighted increased Russian attacks on European transport, infrastructure, and government targets, particularly those aiding Ukraine. These covert operations have escalated in 2023 and 2024, with Russia’s military intelligence behind much of the activity.

Despite the increasing pressure, NATO allies, especially Canada, are at risk due to their support for Ukraine and deteriorating relations with Russia.

Experts, including former Pentagon official Seth Jones, caution that while these actions are intended to intimidate and coerce, they have not yet caused massive casualties or economic damage. However, a Russian victory in Ukraine could spark a global arms race, potentially bringing us closer to a nuclear conflict.
