FBI Director Kash Patel: Bureau Closing in on Antifa’s Leadership and Funding Sources
FBI Director Kash Patel announced that the agency is nearing a breakthrough in identifying the leadership and funding structure behind anarchist groups like Antifa, which he claims have played a role in unrest across the U.S. In an interview with Just the News, Patel revealed that the FBI is pursuing numerous leads into alleged criminal activity involving misuse of federal intelligence and law enforcement resources.
Patel, a Trump ally, said the bureau is actively working to release thousands of pages of documents detailing misconduct within federal agencies. These records relate to high-profile events such as Russiagate, the Ukraine impeachment, January 6, and the FBI’s Mar-a-Lago raid. Already, former FBI Director James Comey and former National Security Advisor John Bolton have been indicted based on these investigations.
Addressing public impatience, Patel urged Americans to understand the long-term nature of dismantling what he called a “diseased temple of corruption” built over two decades. He emphasized that current indictments are just the beginning and that additional disclosures and legal actions are likely in the near future.
On Antifa, Patel said the FBI has traced financial and logistical support to both foreign adversaries and domestic nonprofits. He credited recent progress to intelligence gathered by citizen influencers and social media monitoring, noting that law enforcement faces challenges in accessing some of these radicalized spaces directly.
The comments follow a federal indictment of two individuals linked to Antifa for a July attack on an ICE facility. Patel reaffirmed that the bureau is “following the money” in its domestic terrorism investigations and pledged continued action against those fueling political violence in the country.
