Trump Planning Major Staff Cuts To Dozens More Agencies: Report

A Trump administration memo outlines plans to drastically cut government staffing, including a 50% reduction at HUD and a one-third cut at the Treasury Department.

These cuts, expected to begin next month, are part of broader efforts to downsize federal agencies, with the Small Business Administration and Education Department also facing significant reductions. Agencies like the National Science Foundation and Commerce Department will experience 28% and 30% cuts, respectively. Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. also announced a major reorganization at the Department of Health and Human Services, cutting 20,000 jobs. Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency is driving the cost-cutting push, aiming for a 15% reduction in spending.
