The Treasury Department will cut its workforce by one-third, and the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) will reduce its staff by half. The memo outlines reductions at the Small Business Administration (43%) and HUD (50%). The Education Department and the Justice Department will also face major cuts, with the Education Department reducing staffing by 50%, saving $6 billion. The National Science Foundation and the Commerce Department will experience 28% and 30% cuts, respectively.

Additionally, the Department of Health and Human Services plans to reduce 20,000 positions, saving $1.8 billion. Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. confirmed that critical services will not be impacted.
