DOGE To Examine Congress Members Who Became ‘Strangely Wealthy’

Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla, Starlink, and SpaceX, raised concerns about the wealth accumulation of some U.S. lawmakers during a Wisconsin town hall.

He questioned how members of Congress, with relatively modest salaries, have become extremely wealthy.

Musk mentioned his team at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would investigate the potential corruption behind the wealth of certain lawmakers. He highlighted how taxpayer money is often funneled through government organizations to non-governmental organizations (NGOs), some of which might return funds to U.S. politicians.

Musk also pointed out how former Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senator Rick Scott have amassed significant fortunes, prompting further scrutiny into their financial dealings.
