Melania Trump defended after her latest speech is branded ‘creepy’ by disconcerted viewers

During her speech, Melania Trump defined courage as “strength that is based in love,” praising the transformative power of love in shaping the world.

She highlighted several honorees, including Israeli lawyer Amit Soussana, human rights advocate Henriette Da, journalist Namini Wijedasa, and Amat Al-Salam Al-Hajj of Yemen, who brought attention to the plight of abducted Yemenis. Melania emphasized that these individuals’ courage came from a deep commitment to others and justice.

However, her speech drew mixed reactions. Some criticized her for appearing insincere, while others defended her efforts to highlight female bravery and her work as First Lady. Despite criticism, some praised her focus on empathy and her unique immigrant journey to the White House.
