Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) has called for an investigation into former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the January 6 Committee, claiming the original probe was politically motivated to target Donald Trump. In a CNN interview, Jordan argued Democrats used the committee to avoid discussing real issues like crime, the border, and inflation.
Meanwhile, Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said Speaker Mike Johnson will soon formalize a new committee to re-investigate the Capitol riot, with potential focus on Pelosi and past committee leaders like Liz Cheney. Republicans aim to expand their inquiries now that they control Congress and the White House.
The new probe will also revisit DOJ investigations, including Hunter Biden’s taxes and Biden’s classified documents case. Despite reports of preemptive pardons for Fauci and Cheney, legal experts say they can still be compelled to testify.
