AOC Doubles Down On Vow to ‘Educate’ Illegal Migrants On Evading ICE

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reaffirmed her commitment to informing undocumented migrants of their legal rights, despite criticism from border czar Tom Homan.

In an NPR interview, she defended her “Know Your Rights” forum, saying she was educating all constituents about constitutional protections, including against illegal search and seizure.

Homan referred her to the DOJ for potential prosecution, alleging she was aiding illegal immigrants. AOC responded by demanding clarity from Attorney General Pam Bondi, accusing Homan of politically motivated intimidation.

She emphasized her right to free speech and called such threats a violation of the First Amendment. In her letter to the DOJ, she urged transparency and asked whether she or her office was under investigation.

AOC maintained that educating the public, especially amid immigration concerns, is a core duty of elected officials.
