FBI Director Kash Patel has provided Congress with hundreds of pages of declassified documents from the bureau’s “Crossfire Hurricane” investigation, following an executive order by former President Trump.
Nearly 700 pages, dated April 9, 2025, were also obtained by Just the News.
The documents stem from Trump’s March 2025 order to release FBI records tied to the discredited Trump-Russia collusion probe, an effort previously blocked by Trump’s own DOJ in 2021 and later resisted by the Biden administration.
The investigation, based on unsubstantiated allegations and the Steele dossier funded by Hillary Clinton’s 2016 campaign, was later criticized as politically motivated.
Special counsels Robert Mueller and John Durham found no evidence of collusion, and Durham noted the FBI could not verify any claims from the Steele dossier.
