A veteran unable to pay for his groceries turns around to hear a customer say “It’s our turn” Leave a reply

Vietnam veteran Larry Robeson was struggling to make ends meet when he took his disabled friend, Stephanie, grocery shopping in Las Vegas. Stephanie, also a veteran, was down to her last $50 when Fox 5’s Surprise Squad stepped in to pay for her groceries.

Then they turned their attention to Larry, who had once founded a club to donate blankets to homeless veterans after losing three friends to the cold. Despite only planning to buy dish soap and candy, the Squad told him: “You served us. It’s our turn to serve you.”

Larry was brought to tears after picking out $278 worth of groceries, all paid for by the team.
