Hongkong Post has slammed the US for “bullying” trade tactics, warning the public to expect ”
exorbitant and unreasonable fees” due to new US tariffs. In response to the US ending duty-free treatment and raising tariffs on packages from Hong Kong, the postal service will suspend all mail containing goods to the US—surface mail effective April 16, and air mail from April 27. The move is part of broader retaliation following Trump’s 145% tariffs on Chinese goods, which China has countered with its own trade restrictions.
